As an Author, you have the ability to create posts that will appear live on the blog once approved by your Administrator.
-
Login at www.compendiumblog.com with your Author credentials
-
The ‘Create New Post’ tab of the text editor is the default screen upon logging in
-
Create a title for your new post
- The post’s title should provide a brief description of the post’s content and will appear as a heading to the post once it’s live on the blog.
- The post’s title will be a part of the post’s URL. This URL is not able to be edited once your Administrator approves the post.
-
If the post is your sticky post, check the ‘Sticky’ checkbox
- A sticky post is also referred to as a bio post. It will remain stuck at the top of your User blog and will not compend to any other blog within a network.
-
If you’d like to schedule the post’s date and time, check the ‘Schedule for future release’ checkbox and select the date and time you wish for the post to be published.
- If a post is not scheduled, the post date will appear as the date when the post was originally started and saved.
- If you schedule a post and your Administrator approves it prior to the scheduled date, it will not appear live on the blog until the date you have it scheduled for.
-
Create content for the post by typing directly into the Compendium post editor
- If you’d like to copy/paste content into the Compendium post editor, you must use Notepad as it strips the text of all formatting. Microsoft Office products and any rich text editing programs contain hidden formatting that interferes with all web formatting.
- If you do want to copy from Word, you can utilize our Copy from Word feature. Please see this post for instructions.
-
When you’re ready to submit the post to your Administrator for review, click ‘Submit This Post’

-
Verify the action by clicking ‘Submit’
