FAQ: Apache Reverse Proxy Setup

Some clients prefer to display their Compendium content from a subfolder on their own domain (ex. http://www.compendium.com/blog) instead of a subdomain (ex. http://blog.compendium.com). This type of setup is called 'reverse proxy'.

A reverse proxy setup takes requests for a subfolder on your site (for example: /blog) and forwards the request to Compendium.

FAQ: Satisfaction Survey

Once every 60 days when you log in to the Compendium application, you will receive a one question survey asking how likely you are to recommend Compendium. Once you select a numerical rating, you will be taken to the text editor.

FAQ: Author Gravatars

Gravatars are 'universally recognized avatars,' or small images that appear next to your name on various websites. Compendium utilizes Gravatars to display Author's pictures next to their name in an Author list on the blog.

FAQ: Moderation Workflow

Moderation Workflow is a Compendium feature that allows there to be multiple moderators within one network. The additional moderators will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving a designated type of content. FAQ: Promoting Posts to a LinkedIn Company Page

As an Administrator, you have the ability to add LinkedIn credentials and promote approved posts to LinkedIn.

Posts promoted to LinkedIn via Compendium appear under the 'Network Activity' on the LinkedIn homepage and do not push to the company page.

FAQ: Changing a Blog Domain Name

It is possible to change your blog domain name but Compendium does not recommend it.

Changing your domain will have a negative impact on your blog campaign. It will likely result in the loss of the following:
  • Search engine indexing
  • Search engine rankings
  • RSS subscribers

What is Email-to-Post?

Email-to-Post is a feature that allows Authors to compose posts by sending an email to a Compendium Email-to-Post email address (@compend.me).
